About

Meet Thistle

Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here! I’m a therapist, facilitator, and parent of two small children. I love helping other parents and young people improve their self esteem, deepen their relationships, and build lives that align with their values.

I have a collaborative, accepting, and embodied approach to therapy. I believe that you are the expert on your own lived experience. As a therapist, my role is to support you as you deepen your relationship with yourself and gather the tools you need to address your challenges. Through our work together I will support your journey towards a more joyful, connected, and empowered life.

My background is in community-based mental health with youth and families, and I bring the same creativity and curiosity I used in field work into private practice. I offer traditional talk therapy sessions (in person in Santa Cruz or virtual) as well as hiking sessions, play therapy, and expressive arts. I’m happy to sit with you in the office or meet by a creek where we can watch the running water, whatever helps you connect to your emotions and express yourself.

I’m a registered associate clinical social worker (ASW #113666) employed by Santa Cruz Therapy Collective, where I’m supervised by Sara Anderson, LCSW.
